I'm home this week from an eventful trip to Paris,
good weather, lovely sights.
Shopping, Drinks, Beautiful things.
Took in some Culture and spent a fortune.
Names Names Names
The most Surreal thing happened.
We were visiting the new Viktor and Rolf boutique on the Rue St. Honorè,
and who should walk in behind us.......
Viktor and Rolf themselves!!!!
I said 'Hello' and shook both their hands, and told them I was a big fan.
They said 'thanks, and enjoy the shop'.
I was to embarrassed to ask for a photo with them... I know I should have.
Steven bought a T-Shirt.
We had Tea (twice) at the World Famous Parisian Tea Room Ladureè.
The most beautiful place, you don't even mind paying 9Euro for a Coke!
18Euro for 8 Macaroons in a beautiful all be it Card board box...
by the end of the trip we spent about 65Euro on Macaroons!
10Euro
I ordered a St. Honorè, in honour of meeting Viktor and Rolf!
We had real Chocolat Chaud! The best thing I've ever tasted.
Lots of Fashion and Shopping.
I know.... I have myself on in shades, but... I have just met Viktor and Rolf.
I'm allowed to be Très Chic.. and yes, That's Très Chic, not Tragique!
We walked down Ave. Montaigne, not being able to afford a single thing..... but it was nice. Went into Dior..... it was so beautiful.
We of course took in the sights between shops and snacks.
Arch De Triumph
Le Tour d'effiel
Le Sacrè Coeur
The Notre Dame
The Moulin Rouge
and of course the Champs Elyseè
We also went to see a real Parisian Cabaret.
The Mugler Follies.
It was.... interesting. But Beautiful.
We also Took in some Art.
We saw the Amazing Amazing Azzedine Alaia Exhibition at the Galleria Palace Fashion Museum.
We also saw the Decorum Exhibition of Tapestry and Rugs at the MOMA Paris.
There we lots of art events all around Paris,
This one called Pop the Bag, was an exhibit in Printemps department store in the Lourve.
It was a collection of sculptures completely rendered from Recycled Plastics.
It was Amazing,
I was following this man down the Champs Elyseè
because I loved his Coat! The Cream Trench and the Black belt running through the middle was really Chic, I love understated little details like that.
Until next time Paris.
