Merry Christmas

Things are going well.

 

Our first collection is proving to be a hit with industry professionals, but we seam to be having a bit of bad luck...

 

 

We've been approached by Hello! Magazine, but the samples that were chosen for the client unfortunately... do not fit her. Which is a Shame.

 

 

We have also been approached by Alesha Dixons stylist, who had selected 2 outfits for her to wear to an event but unfortunately that fell through. Even bigger Shame!

 

 

...And to ice the 'Bad Luck' cake we were approached by Fault Magazine NY! Who had selected 7 looks from this season, but we could not afford the carriage to get them over to the big apple :(

 

 

But on the sunnier side we are building a good contact list which hopefully should be useful for the new year and the new season.

We're plodding on nicely with AW15. Fabrics have been chosen, toiles have been fitted and we're getting through most of the gruelling textile applications; we should be in a good place come new year.

Sheffield Style Show

This weekend we found some great exposure at the Sheffield Style Show.

 

We secured some press for the new year, made some useful contacts and new friends.

 

It was nice to see them worn together, as opposed to seeing them solo on one model.

AW15 has begun

This season is going to be a bit of a challenge.

 

I'm not going into detail.

 

This collection will push our patience and technical abilities to the limit!

...and in record time.

 

 

 

We're on a 24/7 schedule, PR in the morning, design, construction, finishing, and having to work on the side; AW15 will really be a photo finish.

 

 

 

This season sleeves are majority hand set. Sometimes sleeves on tricky patterns require a more tactile approach to be able to balance them properly.

 

 

 

The designs call for painstaking attention to detail to ensure a flawless finish, I don't make it easy, but Emma is a Wizard, and as always she makes it look so easy.

 

 

New intern. She doesn't do much, but she's cute.

 

 

 



Long overdue!

 

 

I am pleased to write this belated edition of the HoSH blog,

It's been a long time coming.

But we have valid excuses, trust me.

 

We've managed to secure ourselves some good press since the release of the collection in September.

 

Our first press publication was released on the 4th of November,

a 3 page spread in Profile magazine and although a local magazine the feature is lovely.

 

  

 

( The article refers to me as Andrew Sheldon, twice, just in case you felt like pointing it out, we are well aware!)

Crazy In Love

Madness has officially set in, 

 as I believe all though we agreed to commit to carb free diet this week,

we have bought a rather large Red Velvet cake...

 

Our finger are Raw!

 

My brain is full. Late nights, early starts.

 

 

Emma has new Glasses, which I hate, because she looks way cooler than me...

 

 

Model came for her Final, Final Fitting today...

with unfortunate unforeseen complications

that one could do with out quite frankly.

 

 

And no one brings me flowers......

 

 

 

 

So I made my own

The clocks a tickin',

 

2 weeks till the shoot, Every stich counts!

I am feeling a bit stressed.... and hungry.

Hand sewing makes you want a snack,

Every time you pass a section of work,

you think 'yeah... that bits done... kettle on biscuits out'.

 

 

 

All the painful little bits now.

 

Hand set linings and fastenings make for a labour intensive couple of weeks!
